Coal is reclaimed from the storage area to SS2
or SS3, the two outbound silos.
Another grade of coal, may
be simultaneously conveyed to the same silo (SS2) or to the other silo
(SS3). SS2 is the only silo that can accommodate simultaneous
loading from the storage area or the dumper.
The coals from both outbound silos are blended
together using 4 vibrating feeders under each silo. Programmable Logic
Controllers adjust flow rates from the two outbound silos depending on
the blend rates requested by the customer and the actual readings from
the electronic belt scales.
This
computerized blending provides highly accurate and consistently
homogeneous blending to help assure quality throughout the loading.
