Coal may be conveyed directly from the dumper
to one of the two outbound silos.
Simultaneously, coal may be reclaimed from a
pile, and may be directly conveyed from the dumper, to the same
outbound silo. Or, each process may be sent to separate silos.
DTA has two outbound silos referred to as SS-2 and SS-3. The coals
from both outbound silos may be blended together using 4 vibrating feeders under each silo.
Programmable Logic Controllers adjust flow rates from the two outbound silos depending on
the blend rates requested by the customer and the actual readings from the electronic belt
scales.
The computerized blending process provides highly accurate and
consistently homogeneous blending to help maintain a quality product throughout the loading.
