Industrial Electrician

Job Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities, which could include but not be limited to wiring, conduit, fixtures, and electrical devices
  • Install and test new equipment and systems
  • Repair and maintain existing systems and equipment
  • Read and follow electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, schematics and other electrical specifications
  • Trouble-shoot, diagnosis, and repair electrical issues, systems and components independently with minimal direction and supervision
  • Trouble-shoots VFD system
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on low and medium voltage Tic Tester, scopes, etc.
  • Support DTA’s s objectives in safety, production, and facility health
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in a professional and workman-like manner
  • Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned
  • Operates mobile equipment for lifting, such as forklifts, boom truck, manlifts (JLG), etc.
Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industrial/commercial electrical experience working in the field
  • Electrical Journeyman License preferred but not required
  • Possess the knowledge and experience to perform installs and repairs to low and medium voltage systems and components. High voltage a plus
  • Must possess knowledge of materials, methods, equipment and tools involved in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and components
  • Must possess the ability to utilize a wide array of tools and diagnostic devices to effectively trouble-shoot; identify root cause; and take corrective action
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry and schematics
  • Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude
  • Must be able to work well with co-workers

Walk; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders and stairs; crawl; kneel 2. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted 3. Able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions 4. Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception
